Hawaii 2011 Part 1

My whole family got to go to Hawaii just for fun. My Mom and sister and I planned the trip and gave it to everybody as a surprise for Christmas. We were only minus Ryun and Bailey. It was so fun to go with the kids. David had never been off the continental United States so I was really excited to take him. He is also a big history buff and I couldn't wait to take him to pearl harbor. These pictures are out of order but they still tell the story.

We went to the swap meet on Wednesday morning and Danee had such a sun burn that Aunt tally bought her a new shirt that see really liked.

We kept trying to get water down the kids. Daxdyn even got pretty good at drinking out of a bottle.

Daxdyn liked the sun and playing in the water. He was a super happy boy... despite cutting teeth.

Love Aunt Taly.

Danyka learned how to use her arm floaters.

l liked trying to make Daxdyn smile.

Daxdyn loved putting his feet in the water. We like the fake sandy beach at the kiddie pool because it was easy to watch the kids.

Playing with Kooper . Aunt Ta-Ta brought the fish and she didn't want to let it go even though she didn't need it.

We got Daynka a bucket and she loved playing in the sand and water with her toys.

She worked so hard in the sand trying to make her little creatures.

Daxdyn was always happy and the most photogenic.

We tried to keep in hydrated but he still wasn't a big fan of juice or cold water.

We went to a great little pizza place one night. The pizza was huge with a really thin crust. I love Kosner in the background of this picture. He is truly AWESOME.

Daddy and Daxee at the beach.

Daxy liked the water.

Drying out.

We went to the Dole factory. I remember there being a smoothie place when I went the last time but it wasn't there anymore. I missed my pina colada. There isn't a lot to do at the dole factory. You can take a train ride around the plantation but we decided not to do that and just walked around and bought some pineapple ice cream.

The cute kids.

They have a bid coi pond where you can purchase food and feed the fish. All the fish come over and fight each other for the food.

The birds scavenge for the leftovers.

Everybody over feeding the fish.

Pretty pineapple plant.

FAQ.

The road pointer. Ruxie needed a picture with the pineapple express.

This was the last day at Waikiki Beach where we spent our last night. Right after I took this picture Danyka was attacked by a wave. She never missed a beat she got back up decided she was done and started playing with her toys in the sand.

learning to board with dad.

Waiting for waves.

Daxee loved the sand.

Kazdin boarding with his dad waiting for waves.

There is a new disney resort going in by the marriot resort where we stayed. It is the first of its' kind because it is not associated with a theme park. When we first arrived to the hotel we saw a pirate ship which we thought was really cool. We later learned that is was the pirate ship used for the latest Pirates of the Carribean movie. Disney brought it over so it would be there for the opening of the new resort. It is a lot smaller than it looks on the movie but still very cool. We went over to get a closer look and take pictures. Danyka loves peter pan and pirates right now so she thought it was cool to see a pirate ship.

There is crazy detail on the ship.

There are lots of skeletons.

Danee and David decided to go all the way over to the ship.

Creepy skeletons.

Justin and the boys.

Playing at the pool at the Marriot Holtel rather than at the villas. This is where Gramma stayed. It was nice to have the perks of both places.

Danee liked the noodles that some one must have left for people to play with.

My hot boy.

David kept trying to watch the March Maddness basket ball games.

The hotel pool was a bit smaller but nice because we could keep an eye on the kids and they could jump in whenever.

SCUBA!!

We had to plan a scuba day. David and I are SCUBA certified. My sister and her husband are certified as well but with a different certification group than we are. Taly and Randy are even rescue certifed. We even talked my oldest brother Ruxton into tagging a long. Randy my Brother-in-law loves to scuba and has many hours in his log book so he found the company and set everything up. They postponed us a day because the waves were really strong but Randy went out that day anyway on his own and met the dive crew. Thursday morning we got up at the crack of dawn. I had to sign my kids over to my sister before we left. ;) She said she wouldn't watch them with out it and my Mom took a picture of the scuba crew before we left.

We had so much fun! On the boat heading to the dive site we got to see whales about 100 yards away from the boat. They were incredible. I love whales. It has always been a dream of mine to swim with humback whales so I was sad I couldn't just jump in. The first dive, we went down 95 feet and saw an old wrecked plan which had been sunk on purpose. There were tonz of eels and a huge coral reef. There were poisoness fish which blended into the coral. I had never dived with a current before and I learned how to navigate the waves. David and Taly were sent up early because they were running out of air. I got sent up earlier than I needed too but it was so fun anyway. The 2nd dive was only about 35-45 feet, at a known turtle reef. We got to see huge turtles but you can't touch them because they are federally protected. We got to see an octopus which the dive guide pulled out of the coral. I felt bad for the octopus because he made him expell all his ink. I couldn't believe how much ink there was. It was so cool to hold it and feel its suction cups and its silky smooth velvety skin. Everyone else got sent up but I still had air so I got to stay under with the dive guide for a while longer. We found a baby bright green frog fish. It was amazing!! I forgot to take before pictures and so I just got a few after we were done.

Our dive guide... Can you tell he lives in the water? Like neptune himelf.

The docking station

So tired and so thirsty.
