Maui Hawaii

There is no other view like that. It is purely Hawaii! I can't believe I'm here.
She liked picking up the sand and putting it in the buckets.

The 2nd day Danee was kind of sad so we kept trying to entertain her.

This was our first day in the sun. Danee sure liked her new swimming suit.

This is the first night after we got off the plane. My hair is never curly so don't ask me what happened. I guess there was a light socket I didn't know about.

Okay so I got a last minute trip to Hawaii with my Mom and Dad and sisters. My Parents come quite often to Hawaii in January for annual medical meetings. I have been a few times but I wasn't planning on going this trip. My sister happened to find decent plane tickets on Saturday and we decided to come. Thanks to some great friends at work who covered my shifts I'm now here in paradise. It is WONDERFUL!! Humid, Warm and full of sunshine.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! I wanted to wish you all well in this up coming year. I'm sure like me many of you have made a few resolutions. I wish you luck as you embark on the task of bettering yourself. I hope this new year is a happy one for all. I hope you like the new face of my blog. It will problaby change as I get sick of it. My camera is in the shop so hopefully I will get it back soon and will be able to post new fun pictures of what we are doing. Danee is the most exciting thing in our lives so you will probably see many pictures of her and her adventures. I am grateful to have her in my life. She is the biggest blessing by far!

Christmas Card

This is Our Christmas Card this Year. I have mailed them... Late of course. We took the pictures in November and I thought I would be so on top of things this year. I ran into a few snags with school, so I'm just barely getting around to real life again. As a disclaimer my mother has almost always done our Christmas Cards in rhyme, and it is a tradition which has carried down to at least me and my oldest sister. I think it adds a bit of interest but I'm not as talented as my mother in this pursuit. I hope you like it. Happy Holidays!

Another crazy year has come and gone,
And we have kept busy with Danyka Dawn.
With “yes’s” and “no’s” and other ups and downs,
She has experienced the worlds’ sights and sounds.

Parenting has been a rewarding and exciting activity.
Besides surviving spit up, diaper changing, and an increase in laundry,
We’ve witnessed each stage; cutting teeth, first words and crawling to walking.
We have loved each budding minute and can’t wait to hear her talking.

David has done his share of playing Daddy.
His activities include guy’s night to the movies with Danee.
He continues to work the Nestle warehouse at night,
So when he takes the baby in the morning he is quite a fright.

Nyree-Dawn continues part-time at work, and in her quest for education.
She still has one year and a half before her completion.
She could not do it without the help of a supportive family.
For their willingness to watch the baby, we thank them greatly.

We look forward to the surprises of a new year.
Your love and friendship, to our heart, we hold dear.
This time of year, our Savior, please remember.
We wish you our best until next December.

Girls Night Out

On Tuesday, my girl friends and I finally got to have a girls night out. We were missing a few, but it has been so long since we were all together. My friend Rachael suggested we go to the new restaurant Sparks and have "Mormon cocktails." The drinks were non-alcoholic. In honor of Scrubs, I had to try an Apple-tini. I loved it. It was a unique experience and we had a blast. I loved seeing everyone again. It is so fun to see where everyone is in their life. They are all strong, wonderful, women who I look up to and from whom I have learned so much. I am so grateful I have had the opportunity to get to know them and have them be a part of my life. We have watched each other have boyfriends, heartbreaks, serve missions, get married and have children. We have shared so much together and get to continue sharing new experiences. I am so grateful for my friends. I know we don't get to spend much time together anymore but we are still friends. We have survived the "thick and thin" and have created an eternal bond. I love you guys! Thanks for a much needed Girls Night Out!

Family Pictures

We just took pictures with The Nichols army since they were all together for the Thanksgiving holiday. The last time they took family pictures I wasn't a member of the family. Now David and I will be celebrating our 6th Christmas since we got engaged! Pretty crazy how time flies.
