This is the View from our hotel in wikiki. It was a beautiful last day.
David was our first timer and we couldn't go to Hawaii without showing him Pearl Harbor. The last time I was a Pearl Harbor I was just turning 21... seven years ago.
I have so many pictures of the museum and of the Arizona. I had to pick just a few to give a taste . There is so much to photograph.
The people who died later and had ashes spread at the Arizona.
The Memorial. This is the line getting ready to leave.
Me and my happy boy.
From the outside.
The empty memorial. I love how quiet it is.
You sunk my battle ship... oh wait you actually did.
The anchor from the Arizona. HELLO! It's huge.
The Missouri. This is us walking out of the retired Battle ship.
This is a massive steel wonder. I can't believe it floats. They used it recently in the X-men First class movie.
I thought this was soo cool. This is where the navy men stow their personal items on board the ship.
Under their bed. If you can call it a bed.
Look at how thick this door is. You think they want these guys bomb proof?
I'll show you my guns if you show me yours.
I can't remember what room this is.
The signing for surrender happened on the Missouri.
The documents are held there.
The spot where it was done.
What's that sign say mom? Danee did pretty good on the trip she got tired of walking around and had some trouble going up an down the stairs.
The old flag It is backward for a reason I don't remember.
I love all the flags around the Missouri. They had rules about which direction you could face your camera.
So Patriotic.
