Hawaii 2011 Part 2

These pictures are way out of order but they still tell the story. Our last day in Hawaii was on Wikiki. We went to Dukes for our last meal. Dax was tired and ready to go home.

Danee was just about done too.

This is the View from our hotel in wikiki. It was a beautiful last day.

David was our first timer and we couldn't go to Hawaii without showing him Pearl Harbor. The last time I was a Pearl Harbor I was just turning 21... seven years ago.

I have so many pictures of the museum and of the Arizona. I had to pick just a few to give a taste . There is so much to photograph.

David took the camera for a while and gave him a break from Daxee.

The people who died later and had ashes spread at the Arizona.

The Memorial. This is the line getting ready to leave.

There is actually a U.S. Flag flown from the Arizona every day. You can see the oil around the stern and the drips as they come to the surface.

Me and my happy boy.

I love the roof. It doesn't offer much protection from the elements but it is beautiful.

From the outside.

The empty memorial. I love how quiet it is.

You sunk my battle ship... oh wait you actually did.

The anchor from the Arizona. HELLO! It's huge.

The Missouri. This is us walking out of the retired Battle ship.

This is a massive steel wonder. I can't believe it floats. They used it recently in the X-men First class movie.

I thought this was soo cool. This is where the navy men stow their personal items on board the ship.

Under their bed. If you can call it a bed.

Look at how thick this door is. You think they want these guys bomb proof?

I'll show you my guns if you show me yours.

I can't remember what room this is.

The signing for surrender happened on the Missouri.

The documents are held there.

The spot where it was done.

What's that sign say mom? Danee did pretty good on the trip she got tired of walking around and had some trouble going up an down the stairs.

The old flag It is backward for a reason I don't remember.

On the main Deck.

I love all the flags around the Missouri. They had rules about which direction you could face your camera.

So Patriotic.

The fam on the bus to see The Missouri

Koop ready to see the ship.

My tired sunburned baby.

Kosner ready to go.

Waking up is hard to do.

We went to the luau at the PCC. Afterward the main characters hang out for pictures. Danee when right up not inhibited at all.

Didn't mind sitting on the "Fire guys" lap.
