Christmas 2010

We are not early risers and Danyka is very much on our schedule. Christmas morning we had to wake Danee up which I hate to do because she gets so tired. However in order to get to the house and open presents with the rest of the fam we had to get moving earlier than she would have liked. She wasn't too excited about getting up.

She buried her head back down and didn't want to get up.

However, once she got down stairs she was super excited about presents. As you can see the biggest hit was her Scooby Doo gang. She loves them and carried them around everywhere. She didn't want to put them down.

Then we went up to my parents house to have Christmas with my family. It was the first year in a while that my dad or I wasn't on call at the hospital. It was so nice not to rush through everything.

Danyka was so excited. She was everywhere and wanted to see everything. I think the older cousins were getting a little sick of her by the end of the day. However despite being woken up early she did very well.

It was a very successful day. We enjoyed each others company and my sister Taly was particularly cleaver with her shopping this year. My nephews got a basketball game which we all had fun playing and challenging each other. I loved being able to play with both my kids. Last year I was so sick because I was pregnant and trying to hide it while leaving to work. It was nice just to be home with the kids and be healthy and enjoy a lazy day.
