July 17th to 18th... Welcome number 2.

I started with labor pains about 5AM on Friday July 16th. However, after a full day of work and being nauseated the contractions almost completely died away. Then they started again through the night Saturday morning July 17th but they were really inconsistent and didn't seem to be going anywhere. I had a shower that morning at my in-laws so I went and had contraction off and on through the shower. I was finally sick of things not picking up or going anywhere so I decided to go in and get checked. They watched me for and hour and I had contractions about every 2 to 7 minutes but I of course wasn't going anywhere. However the baby had a couple of decelerations in heart rate so they decided to watch me for another hour but they let me walk. So I walked hard around L & D for a good hour and had about 19 good contractions they monitored the baby for another 30min and he had one more big decelerations but was still doing fine. The good new was my contractions had picked up and become more regular and much harder. By 8 o'clock I was checked in and ready to get a baby here. I had to wait over and hour for the residents to break my water and if I hadn't had to wait I would have had a baby here 7/17/10 unfortunately that didn't happen. An hour after they broke my water, I was complete at 2330 and I had to wait for the Dr to get there. At 0029 on Sunday July 18th our son arrived 6lb 1oz and 18 inches. Almost the same size as Danyka Dawn. As you can see he has a full head of hair. I was surprised he was so small. I expected a bigger baby than Danee.This is me shivering from the labor pains before the baby was born.

Our little guy had a little bit of trouble breathing right at first so Respiratory Therapy came in to suck him out really good.

He had a good suck right from the start and a good cry so I could hear him the whole time.

My sweet little man is finally here. I can't believe how much I love him. Girls are so special but I'm fast becoming a fan of boys. I'm so happy and blessed to have a healthy baby boy.
