Hoover Dam

We drove down to Vegas for Thanksgiving this year. Since my sister Tausha moved to Arizona this year we figured that was a central meeting place. We left to go down on Wednesday morning and returned home Friday. It was a crazy trip but made for some good memories. As we were arriving in Vegas on Wednesday my family was going over to the Hoover Dam so we decided to meet them.Danyka had been an angel all day but there was a 1 1/2 hours wait to actually get to the Dam and Danyka was very sick of waiting in the car and couldn't wait to see her cousins. This is the new Pat Tillman bridge that is being built to help with the Hoover Dam traffic. It is much needed. It is an amazing structure.Approaching the Dam.
When we got out of the Car Danyka wanted to play and had no desire to take a picture with mom and dad. We had been traveling all day so we weren't exactly dressed for picture taking.

The Bridge lit up at night there are 3 flags at the top you can kind of see. The Arizona, the United States, and the Nevada flags mark the state line.

This is the back side of the dam. It was creepy because it was dark and you couldn't really see the water.

The bottom of the Dam.

The Dam from the Arizona aspect.

Danyka and I enjoying the view.

David is Deathly scared of heights and couldn't stand to be near the edge at all. He carried Danee most of the night so he wouldn't be worried about her too.

She just wanted to get down and play.

There are clock towers on either side of the dam.

The Arizona clock...

And the Nevada clock.

This is the state line.
This is the state line marker on the dam.

There are a ton of information tablets at the beginning of the dam. I didn't take a picture of all of them. It's all very symbolic and has to do with stars and protectors. Too bad we didn't get there in time for an actual tour.

This is Kosner posing on top of a zodiac sign indicator. All in all it was a fun night. We were just happy to be out of the car.
