August and Davids 29th Birthday

My little Dax has been playing with his tongue since day one. I have been trying to get a good pic and this is my best so far. We tried to enjoy the month of August as much as possible since it was our last before I had to go back to work and before David started school. We actually had a Day off together for Davids 29th birthday. It's supposed to be his last good one so I told him he had to enjoy it.

Doesn't he look so happy to be having a birthday.

We didn't intend the boys to match, but they did so I had to get a picture.

We had a small party for David on Sunday. You can tell he was really excited about it. He was more into the magazine he bought.

Danee was at least excited about the candles.

Sweet baby boy.

Okay I thought this picture was so funny of Dax.

Danyka tries so hard to play with her baby brother. She doesn't understand that he's just not as big as she is.

Whoa!?

Love a stitch!

I had to get a picture of the hair before it disappears.

Big yawn.

Checking things out.

Danee holding baby brother.

I love hand pictures but it's hard to get what I want when it is just me trying to get the picture.

Danee knows we don't want Daxy to find his fingers.

Daxdyn's favorite thing is the blow dryer. He can be totally fussy and I turn on the blow dryer and this is what I get. Completely calm.

This is how Danyka came into see me one night. My mermaid fairy. I haven't decided who she likes more, Tink or Ariel.

My fairy princess.

Bye Mommy.

I keep trying to get smiles on camera so far this is the best one.

Happy Girl.

"Where's the baby?" "There he is."

Good mornings.

Pictures of Dax

Playing with the hair. The fro look.

Can you tell I like feet?

Hello?

Sleeping with Daddy.

24th of July

The 24th of July was actually on Sunday this year so David invited his fam over for a firework show. He and his brother-in-law combined the fireworks together for about a 45 min firework show. The kids had a ball.

It was a little dark for pictures

Danyka likes Mattie. She's the oldest granddaughter and she loves to watch Danee for me.

Surprise.

Spanish Fork always has a firework show for the 24th. That's when the rodeo is and they have a carnival and everything. Danee and I have a pretty good view from the house, so we stay home and watch the fireworks.

Lake Powell

These pictures are out of order but you'll get the idea. So at two weeks post-partum we planned a family reunion to go stay on a house boat in Lake Powell. If we didn't have the house boat I wouldn't have gone but at least I had a cool place to take the baby when needed. The biggest downer is that I wasn't allowed to go swimming since I just had a baby. I did get to have a little fun on the jet ski however since there wasn't much risk of getting wet on those if I was careful. However, one day I went out with Danee and when we were coming back in to dock David got on the back of the seadoo to help me and we tried to get Danyka up on the dock first. Unfortunately my key was still locked in place. As David tried to lift her over the key cord the seadoo got tipped to far and started to fill with water. It was like slow motion as we all got dunked in the water. I made sure Danee was okay then proceeded to try and get out of the water as quickly as possible. It was quite funny as there is nothing to hang onto in the dock area and David is behind me saying, "get out, get out, get out!" Needless to say he felt very bad but at least I got to get wet once right?... even if is was by accident.
The fam on the Seadoo. Danyka was a good sport but didn't like going too fast.

I know this is a scary shot. Me in a swimming suit number one and 2 weeks post-partum for another. Not a good combination, but I had to prove I did it.

Daxdyn was about the sweetest baby ever. He slept almost constantly. I think since we were on the water, he felt like he was being rocked constantly. I just felt seasick most of the time.

We had all the grand kids for one night. Here is my crazy girl. She wouldn't put the water game down for pictures.

All the kids. Who has the chubbiest kid? Oh yeah, that would be me.

Daxdyn even caught a few rays. His bili was a little elevated so I thought the sun was a pretty good idea.

Soooo hot and soooo tired.

The view from the back of the house boat.

Danyka was a little fish and wanted to spend the whole trip in the water. Unfortunately I couldn't take her swimming so she had to wait for her dad to come in from playing on the wave runners.

She got so she could swim on her own with the life jacket on.

Sarah was nice to take Danee out while the boys went out and played.

A family game of UNO while eating M&M's.

Danyka was so exhausted she passed out in her suit on the bed watching Scooby-doo.

The one and only time my son will be allowed to find his thumb.

Danyka was mostly ornery when she couldn't be in the water.

And everything was a tragedy.

She tripped and the world ended.

Since Daxdyn was so tiny, my sister went to build-a-bear and bought Dax a swimming suit. Isn't it the cutest thing ever?

The first days Danyka wouldn't let go of her dad while she was swimming. It took her a while to get used to the life jacket, but when she got it, there was no stopping her.

The kids out playing with Taly, Randy, and David.

My happy little mermaid.

Kooper-doo.

Daddy and Danee.

All in all it was a fun trip despite having a few technical difficulties. The kids love to be together and we had a good time running the water toys.
