Idaho Break... Cat hunting

One of my favorite memories of spending time in Idaho was the cats. My Grandpa always had a ton of cats that they fed and kept around the house to do the mousing. My Aunt who lives in my Grandpa's house has continued the feeding of the cats. Unfortunately there aren't any kids out there anymore to tame the cats so they are pretty wild. Danee and I went cat hunting anyway.

There are quite a number of them out there right now and they are all sizes.
This little kitty reminded me of my Tux at home. I caught him once but he gave me a good scratch. We did find a very new little batch that still had their eyes closed but I didn't get a picture of them.

Danyka didn't want to make the night a photo shoot. She really didn't want to pose for pictures.

The Idea of chasing cats made her happy again.

All in all it was a great hunt. It was fun to share something I loved so much with my daughter. I hope she grows to love Idaho as much as I do.

Idaho Break... The Outpost

I have been super stressed stressed lately. School and work and other pressures have been taking there toll on me so I had a few days off of work last week and I decided to take a break. Danyka and I left on Thursday and went to stay at my moms cabin in Idaho. It was just what the doctor ordered. We had a great time. I was actually out there over my Grandparents birthdays. If my Grandpa was alive today he would have turned 100 years old. It was nice to be out there for their birthdays.
We went over to Almo one day and ate at The Outpost. It's the only close restaurant but it's pretty good.

There is actually an Inn attached with the restaurant. It's a pretty cute place.

Danyka had fun coloring and watching the cows from the window. The food is really good. More like homemade style food.

After we ate we went out to watch the cows in the field and Danyka had a blast running around.

The clouds started to role in but it made for pretty scenery.

Danyka thought the makeshift horse was pretty fun.

The backside of the cabin. Isn't it beautiful? I love it out there.

Danyka glad to be out of the car.

The 2nd Halloween Birthday!!

The Morning of Danyka's birthday I got up and frosted her cake. My kitchen was covered in powdered sugar. David added the bats spiders and cats. Pretty cute huh?

We first went to the Nichols and Danyka made quite a production of opening her presents.

As you can see she was pretty excited.

Thanks Grammy!!

Danyka with her cousin Molly Jane.

We took cupcakes to have for the Nichols group. Danyka got two candles...

Which she blew out in one breath shocking us all. As you can see the look on Danyka's face says it all. She thought we had lost it when we cheered in surprise.

We enjoyed the whiches brew at Gramma Nobles when we arrived after Trick or Treating. We sure missed the Lewis clan.

We were glad Aunt Ta-Ta and Kinzie called to wish Danyka Happy Birthday!

Danyka listened intently to hear Kinzie's stories.

When we started to open presents Danyka wanted to try on everything. So she tried on her new red shirt. She found Davids phone and started to "take pictures." You can tell we had taken a lot of pictures through out the day.

Danyka was really excited about her Tinkerbell movie, the Little Einsteins toys, and her Mermaid dress up outfit.

All in all it was a very eventful day. Danyka had a lot of fun and performed well considering the sensory overload. I can't believe my little girl is two, but she is such a big independent girl. She definitely had a mind of her own. I love her so much and I am so grateful she came into my life 2 years ago.
