The 2nd Halloween Birthday!!

The Morning of Danyka's birthday I got up and frosted her cake. My kitchen was covered in powdered sugar. David added the bats spiders and cats. Pretty cute huh?

We first went to the Nichols and Danyka made quite a production of opening her presents.

As you can see she was pretty excited.

Thanks Grammy!!

Danyka with her cousin Molly Jane.

We took cupcakes to have for the Nichols group. Danyka got two candles...

Which she blew out in one breath shocking us all. As you can see the look on Danyka's face says it all. She thought we had lost it when we cheered in surprise.

We enjoyed the whiches brew at Gramma Nobles when we arrived after Trick or Treating. We sure missed the Lewis clan.

We were glad Aunt Ta-Ta and Kinzie called to wish Danyka Happy Birthday!

Danyka listened intently to hear Kinzie's stories.

When we started to open presents Danyka wanted to try on everything. So she tried on her new red shirt. She found Davids phone and started to "take pictures." You can tell we had taken a lot of pictures through out the day.

Danyka was really excited about her Tinkerbell movie, the Little Einsteins toys, and her Mermaid dress up outfit.

All in all it was a very eventful day. Danyka had a lot of fun and performed well considering the sensory overload. I can't believe my little girl is two, but she is such a big independent girl. She definitely had a mind of her own. I love her so much and I am so grateful she came into my life 2 years ago.

Halloween

These are the pictures from the actual Halloween part of the day. We first went to the Nichols house to go trick or treating with the cousins.
The little horsey with her Vampire mother.

Danyka couldn't wait to go out with her cousins.

For the First time in 10 years, I was not a Harry Potter Character. The change looks good huh? If you look closely you can see the custom made vampire teeth. Thy got lost before the end of the night so I was pretty sad because I thought they were pretty cool.

Creepy I know.

My little pony. She wouldn't let go of her treat bag for anything.

The Nichols clan.

The cute house Decor.

Danyka was so not in the mood for pictures at the end of the night when we got to Grandma Nobles house.

The dressed up group. Randy, Taly, me, Bailey, Sarah and Danyka.

We love Halloweeeeeen!!

Pumpkin carving.

The Thursday before Halloween was the Family pumpkin carving event. Danyka wasn't too interested last year but she was much more involved this year.

She asked if the stuff inside was "boogies?"

She liked to take the lids off and on.

She wanted to help wherever she could.

Surprise! However, she didn't want to touch the stuff on the inside.

If you look closely at Danyka's pumpkin on the right you can see the pen marks. She wanted to color her own face.

Davids pumpkin.

The final product.

The pumpkins you can see behind the carved ones came out of our garden as well as Danyka's pumpkin. We bought Davids' and my pumpkins.

I think they turned out good. It is becoming a fun Nichols Family tradition.

Tunk or Treat

Our ward had a Trunk or Treat a week before Halloween. We decided to go last minute. It was the first time Danyka wore her costume and she didn't like the hood. She kept trying to take it off.

We liked the care bears. We actually saw a lot of them this year.

Danyka's friend George as Thomas the Train.

There was quite a good turn out. The kids kept going around till the candy was gone.

Danyka had fun skipping around.

She was so cute Trick or Treating. Danyka would go up to the cars and say "Teat pease! Sank you much." Everyone gave her an extra treat.

I didn't know people decorated their cars for Trunk or Treat, but this was the cutest one.

I went as Hermione, my costume standby.

Fall Break '09

These are additional pictures of fall break when my sister came to visit. If you look carefully you can see the double rainbow by the Wells Fargo building.
