Time at the park

A while back David and I actually got up and spent an afternoon with Danyka before he went to work. Danee had a total blast at the park on the swing and the slide.
After going down the slide she decided the best way back to the top was to walk up the slide.
She had fun with her Dad.
The swing was another highlight. She laughed and laughed and didn't want to leave.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Happy "Wood" Anniversary

I know this is a late post but I have been crazy busy with school and family gatherings this summer as you will eventually see. I have been wanting a piano for quite some time. I haven't really played the piano since David and I got married. I feel so bad because people ask me to play for various things and I have to say no because I haven't been able to practice. Anyway, David and I have been looking at piano's for over a year and the opportunity presented itself the day after our anniversary. Since the 5th anniversary is the "wood" anniversary, we figured it was the perfect present for us. I was so excited when it arrived!!!

It is a 1991 Yamaha U1 48 inches. It was hardly used. When we opened it up to clean it. We found the original unopened Yamaha bag with book, polishing rags and key. It was like opening a brand new piano.

5 years and counting

Last Wednesday June 10th was our 5 year anniversary. I am certainly glad we had better weather 5 years ago. In some ways it has flown by but when I look at what we have been through, it has been a crazy 5 years. I always get a little sentimental around our anniversary. I try to remember the beginning. David always gets a little annoyed with me. I have enjoyed reminiscing about our courtship and remembering the good times. We met at The Hill Cumorrah pageant. I thought David was cute and funny and he didn't remember I existed... the story of my life. Thanks to a couple of well placed friends David and I started spending time together and David realized I wasn't too bad. I am so grateful David and I were married 5 years ago and for the decisions which brought us together and to get us where we are today. I have never been happier. I am so grateful for our little girl and the wonderful addition she has been to our little family.
David and I actually got to spend some time together on the actual day. Something that hasn't happened since our 1st anniversary. Davids boss found out it was our anniversary and he changed his schedule so he could be off. We went to dinner with Danyka Dawn at Macaroni Grill, then Gramma took Danee and we went to the Star Trek movie. We enjoyed having time together.

They were great at Macaroni grill and brought out Danee's Mac and Cheese before our meals so she was totally happy and satisfied while we ate. You can tell she really enjoyed it.

Little Fluffy Visitor

So last Wednesday, I looked out my sliding glass window and there was a cat out side and my cat Tux was very interested so I opened the door and this little beauty came in. She was all white (no spots) and had the coolest eyes. One was green and the other was blue.
I got a close up because I thought they were so cool.Danyka thought she was pretty cool. She did okay with me but she was definitely not an indoor kitty. I don't think she really liked people either. She really didn't like Tux. Every time she saw him she would start growling and hissing.

In the end she really wanted to leave and we let her go hoping that she would find her way home. Danyka sure enjoyed the fluffly little visitor.

We're Back!!

We went the last Friday in May to get some over due pictures of Danee at Kiddie Kandids. The last time we took pictures Danyka was all smiles so we were done in about 20 minutes. This time didn't go so smoothe but I think we were able to get some cute shots. We also recently purchased a new camera so hopefully I will be able to keep you updated on our summer activities.
