Happy Birthday Ruxie

My eldest brother Ruxton turned 40 this year and he came in from Colorado for his birthday. We had a family get together and we watched slides of old pictures of the family. Most of them were from way before my time. It was fun to hear the old stories. Danee rough housed with the cousins.

I love this one. They are so funny together.

The boys started it.

Danee and Gramma her favorite person besides Dad.

Superbowl Sunday

My happy girl!
The boys

We usually have a little Superbowl party when I don't have to work but this year we didn't really plan anything. So, instead my sister-in-law came over and we had an impromptu get together for the game/commercials.

Feeling better

I love this face. I get it every night when it's time for bed.
Okay so this is a random picture but she has a random dimple which comes out every once in a while on her right cheek. I love it! She looks so much like a Nichols.

She also found my sucker stash I had taken on the trip.

I couldn't get mad at her because she is so cute and I was so happy she was feeling better.

After we got back Danee started feeling better and very independent. She wouldn't let me help her with her dinner and this was the end result.

Maui Hawaii

What David did while we were gone.

Back at the shower for one last rinse off.

One last scoop at the beach.

She wanted to kick her feet in the big pool and watch the kids play basketball.

Actually happy for once.

Playing in the water puddle.

She really liked playing in the shower where people rinse off the sand before going to the pool.

Yes, that would be my white trash baby in nothing but a swim diaper. It was the last day and we had a couple hours to kill before going to the airport. Since Danyka had been sick I didn't think she would want to play so I didn't keep out a suit, but she wanted to get wet so she got stripped.

Danee was so tired she gave up at the restaurant and didn't even eat. She also started with a fever poor little girl. I think we just wore her out.

The giant plastic burger they gave us, so we could take pictures.

Our second time at the Cheeseburger in paradise place the kids were starving and it was windy so we were cold and didn't want to look for anything else. Notice the burger in my hands.

Danee whining and not feeling good.

Oh don't take my picture! So tragic. By this time everything was a tragedy.

Danee terrorizing her cousins and stealing Trix from Kooper.

The sunset was worth the cold.

We walked down the path by the hotel to a beach side restaurant. We had Hula pie. YUMM! It started to blow and we were freezing since we were still in our swimwear.

Danee finally took a nap. She was so tired and sad after playing with her cousins at the pool so we went for a walk and she totally crashed. What a little sweetie.

Getting a drink with Grandma. We didn't have Grandma at the pool very often because she was at meetings most of the time.

Mommy, Danee and of course the mug at the pool.

Danee getting a drink and asking for more chips

Oh and the kids helped.

I made the turtles right side and my sister made the turtles left side. Kosner is responsible for the shell-eyed smiley face.

She did like the bucket of water, especially when she was dumping it on me.

She did actually play in the sand a little bit. She wanted to help mom in creating the sand sea turtle.

Danee by the sea turtle. She's sooo happy.

Kooper making his own sand creation.

Ain't she cute!

This is how we kept Danee happy at the beach. Every morning she needed her mug and a fresh drink.

Maui Hawaii

My camera was having issues because it was dark, so this picture is a little blurry. Just the fam at the luau.
The sunset was B E A Utiful.

That night one of the drug companies, at my parents meetings, held a luau and we all went.

A model ship at the museum.

At the request of my nephews we went to the whalers museum. They had some cool artifacts from the old whalers ships and gave some interesting facts about the amount of oil and blubber collected from whales. Danee had a blast as you can tell.
